WORLD rated featherweight Joel Brunker and his undefeated opponent Josh Warrington both made weight earlier today in Leeds.
Brunker, 29, and Warrington, 24, weighed inside of the featherweight limit in front of a lively crowd at the Leeds City Museum in what was a taste of the vibrant atmosphere that will be at the First Direct Arena tomorrow.
Although it hasn’t been billed as an official eliminator, it appears likely that the winner between Brunker and Warrington will be placed into a mandatory position by the WBC to challenge reigning champion Gary Russell Jr.
