THE Australian boxing community mourns the loss of David Browne Jr., who passed away this week.

Tributes have continued to flow in for the popular Campbelltown native, who had a distinguished amateur career before turning professional where he compiled a 22-2-1 professional ledger with eight knockouts.

As a professional, Browne won the Australian super bantamweight title as well as a handful of respectable regional belts, including the interim WBC Youth featherweight title in 2009, which he successfully defended once.

Several high-profile Australian boxers took to Twitter to pay their respects and condolences to the family of the 28-year-old Browne, who is a husband and father of two.
