A respectful Solomon Haumono and Joseph Parker faced off for one last time in Christchurch.
The heavily favoured Parker (19-0, 16 KOs) tipped the scales at a trim 106.40 kilograms, while the hard-hitting Haumono (24-2-2, 21 KOs) weighed in at a trim 109.00 kilograms, his lightest weight in almost four years.
The pair were briefly interviewed on stage and remained unsurprisingly courteous in the build-up.
“We’re two great guys who have trained the house down for this fight,” said Parker shortly after making weight. “You don’t have to be a bad guy to be a fighter, we’re two humble guys, and we’re prepared for tomorrow night,”
