JAI Opetaia continued his dominant reign as cruiserweight champion with his third successful IBF title defence.

Fighting for the second consecutive time on home soil, Opetaia (28-0, 22 KOs) patiently dismissed the challenge of his unbeaten Italian opponent, finding his range in the fourth round, and breaking Claudio Squeo’s jaw in the process.

Unification now beckons for the 29-year-old, who again expressed his interest in unifying belts with WBO champion Gilberto Ramirez.
