Brandon Ogilvie signs with Xcite Fight Promotions
XCITE Fight Promotions are proud to announce the signing of world rated lightweight Brandon Ogilvie.
The 22-year-old Perth resident is considered as one of the brightest prospects in Australian boxing.
Trained out of Fox’s Boxing Den by Pete Fox and Brandon’s father Brad, “Brilliant” Brandon is ranked number ten in the world by the WBA and is the current WBA Oceania champion, a title he is slated to defend on March 12.
“I’m really happy that I signed with Brendan Bourke and Matt Clark,” said Ogilvie.
“I feel like I’ve got a really great team around me and I’m looking forward to taking on all comers,”
“Signing with Xcite gives my career an extra dimension and I’m excited to take this next step towards becoming world champion”
“We think Brandon has the potential to go a long way in the sport and he’s an excitement machine,” added Brendan Bourke. ”
“We’ve been working closely with Team Ogilvie for quite some time and Brandon wants to fight the best in Australia this year. There are plenty of big fights out there for Brandon, who is quite simply, made for TV,”
“It means a lot that my trainers and my managers have so much belief in my abilities,” stated Ogilvie.
“This gives me more confidence and that’s a bad thing for the rest of the lightweight division.”
Ogilvie faces Thongchai Kunram on February 12 in Perth, before defending his WBA Oceania title against Australian champion Darragh Foley on March 12, in a bout that is hotly anticipated by Australian boxing fans.
