Australian Professional Boxing showcased to the world

AUSTRALIAN Professional Boxing is set to be showcased to the world with the launch of Professional Boxing Australia (PBA).

In conjunction with the governing body of boxing, Australian National Boxing Federation and under the auspices the NSW Combat Sports Authority, PBA’s prime objective is to showcase Australian boxing, by promoting the value of the coveted Australian title.

On August 8th, #1 Professional Boxing Australia will feature the best Australia has to offer in the light heavyweight and super middleweight divisions as well as rising stars in other divisions.

Headlining the night will be Australian light heavyweight champion, Kerry Foley, who will be looking to defend his title in front of his home crowd and deliver a knock out victory.

“Foley has never been in a fight that hasn’t brought the house down,” said former world title challenger Kali Meehan. “An impressive defence of his title here will open the door to the world stage in the near future,”

Standing in his way is the formerly world rated Joel Casey.

Casey is an experienced brawler with over 33 professional fights to his record and is fit, focused and ready to fulfill his destiny by becoming the Australian champion.

Staged at the iconic Wentworth Park, adding an extra level of excitement to those in attendance, the event will coincide with one of the biggest nights of greyhound racing, providing punters with a great night of entertainment.

PBA has compiled a truly world class commentary team headed by Ben Damon, with expert commentary from boxing royalty Nigel Benn and one of Australia’s best ever heavyweight’s of all time, Kali Meehan.

In a world’s first, master trainer Johnny Lewis will take viewers with him backstage to gain access to boxers pre and post competition and will give an insight into the world of professional boxing like only he could.

Lewis will be unveiling the hidden rituals, preparation techniques and personalities of professional boxing.

Don’t miss the premiere of Professional Boxing Australia.
