Live Stream Preview: Breese vs. Tagi ($9.95 PPV)

 
TONIGHT from the Melbourne Pavilion, promoter Barry Michael presents a five fight card headlined by Victorian super middleweight champion Ryan Breese (4-0, 2 KOs) taking on Fijian Opeti Tagi (17-10, 9 KOs) over ten rounds for the vacant WBC Asia Council Continental bauble.

 
Tagi, 32, is a regular visitor to these shores, having previously fought Peter Mitrevski Jr, Ryan Waters, Gary Comer and Shannon McMahon over the course of a fourteen year professional career. With that said, Tagi has provided relatively modest competition for our local fighters, having being knocked out inside four rounds in each of those visits.

 
The jury is still out on Breese, who has done everything asked of him at this point of his short professional career. Breese is the reigning Victorian super middleweight champion, having earnt that honour with a seven round stoppage over Jake Gathercole. Breese has since made a successful title defence against Shane Parry (TKO 7).

 
The main event will be supported with a further four additional fights, highlighted by the professional debut of former amateur starlet Jason Moloney.

 
Moloney will be challenged by Ngaotawan Sithsaithong (10-14-1, 5 KOs), who should provide Moloney with rounds in his highly anticipated debut. Sithsaithong has given talented fighters such as former WBC super flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and former OPBF light flyweight champion Yukio Wadamine a handful of rounds and will look to do the same against Moloney.

 
Big punching prospect and undefeated former Olympian Ibrahim Balla (5-0, 4 KOs) will look to continue his impressive winning streak against awkward southpaw Patomsith Pathompothong (9-1, 4 KOs). Reigning WBC womens world champion Susie Ramadan was also supposed to feature on tonight’s card, however her opponent Muaylek Sithsaithong (3-0, 1 KO) had visa complications, forcing her to miss her flight to Melbourne.

 
The card will also feature six round match bouts between once beaten Daniel Smith as well as the professional debut of Jayde Mitchell.
