Professional Boxing Australia confirm debut event lineup

 
THE debut event for Professional Boxing Australia is just over a week away and the card is sure to get boxing fans excited with some of the best Aussie talent on show at North Sydney Leagues Club on August 8th.

 
Joining the mouth watering Australian light heavyweight title fight between Kerry Foley and Joel Casey, will be a battle for the recently vacated Australian super middleweight title between Faris Chevalier and Tej Pratap Singh.

 
Everything is on the line for these two fighters and they are sure to throw down in what is expected to be an absolute war.

 
Former Australian Commonwealth Games representative Mark Lucas will be looking to extend his unbeaten three fight record in front of a home crowd when he takes on Queensland’s Zorran Cassady.

 
While in the welterweight division, the son of former Australian champion Marc Bargero, Dillon, enters the ring in his second professional fight coming off a tough loss to experienced mixed martial artist Alex Volkanovski.

 
Bargero faces yet another test against Brit Ben Saava who many believe has the talent to go all the way.

 
In the heavyweight division, Willis Meehan will return to the ring following his impressive knockout win against American Freddy Miller on the Footy Show Fight Night and is sure to provide fans with a boxing master class.

 
Another to keep an eye out for will be Paul Ogedengbe, who will be making the step up from cruiserweight where he faces Nathan Luff.

 
Ogedengbe has recorded two knockout victories in his first two professional fights and is sure to get the crowd on their feet.

 
PBA has also announced that former world champion Daniel Geale will be joining the star studded commentary team headed up by Ben Damon, Nigel Benn and Kali Meehan.

 
The night will also feature a panel style show with some of the best heavyweights in Australia such as recently crowned Australian champion Peter Graham and looming heavyweight title challenger Lucas Browne.
