Social media reacts to Tszyu-Hogan event
TIM Tszyu continued his ascension towards an inevitable world title challenge on Wednesday night.
The unbeaten star defended his perfect professional record, registering an entertaining fifth round knockout over dual world title challenger Dennis Hogan at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre.
As the sporting public watched on, we collated some of our favourite tweets from another memorable pay-per-view card.

Hogan has two kids, a new house and loads of career options. In 2019 he should have been crowned world champ with one of the greatest away performances I've ever seen by an Irish boxer. He's been a credit to the sport, whatever he decides to do next #TszyuHogan

Sanity prevails. Interesting fight, was surprised to see Tszyu go out and brawl like that, thought he might box and break him down a bit more. But that was a brutal performance. High aggression, if a bit wild at times. He's on his way #TszyuHogan

That uppercut was nasty. Dennis Hogan gave a good account of himself but the bodywork was too much and then that beautiful shot pretty much finished it. Great fight #TszyuHogan

This is unlike Tim, he never has gone to the body like this before seems like he has found a weakness from hogan's title fights, and he is explored that weakness to a tee. And Hogan has underestimated his power big time. #TszyuHogan

Hogan's towel thrown in near the end of the fifth. Rounds 3, 4, 5 had been hurtful.

Tszyu nearly had Hogan out late in round three, connecting with right hands upstairs and wicked left hooks to the body. #TszyuHogan

In 2005, Ricky Hatton shocked the world when he forced one of the top pound-for-pound fighters Kostya Tszyu to retire on his stool.
16 years later, in the space of five days, Hatton's son Campbell has won on his pro debut and Tszyu's son Tim has gone 18-0.#TszyuHogan pic.twitter.com/Q0Dy6gINSv

Impressive stoppage win by Mateo Tapia over Renold Quinlan in round 4.
