Tim Tszyu signs with No Limit Boxing
TIM Tszyu has secured his immediate future, signing with Australian promotional firm, No Limit Boxing.
After months of high-profile negotiations between No Limit Boxing’s leader Matt Rose and Tszyu’s manager, Glen Jennings, the unbeaten prospect put pen to paper this week.
“We’re so excited by Tszyu, he’s a phenomenal athlete but also just a really great kid,” said Rose in a press release.
“We’re so confident in the direction we want to go with him. He has enormous potential we want to obviously provide him with the best environment to achieve national and international success to ultimately grow his brand.
“The name is synonymous with boxing. The world knows of Kostya and soon they will know of Tim.”
No Limit Boxing is one of Australia’s leading promotional identities, launched in 2016 with the highly acclaimed ‘Star of the Ring’ series.
Their inaugural card became the highest rating boxing event in Fox Sports history, smashing all previous records. Since then, their series has been an annual attraction and continues to break coverage records.
Tszyu (12-0, 10 KOs) was the co-main event of the latest ‘Star of the Ring’ bill in February, making his mark with a one-sided win over former Commonwealth titleholder Denton Vassell.
It will now be remembered as the start of a professional relationship as No Limit Boxing and Tszyu embark on a new and exclusive partnership.
“We have a carefully constructed plan and that includes an active 2019 which will see Tszyu fight three times. It’s big for us and big for him,” added Rose.
Having committed his future to the Sydney-based company, the 24-year-old Tszyu can focus on competing.
“No Limit is a really professional unit with a great eye for the industry,” he said.
“It’s an exciting partnership and it just signals the start of my career to go to the next stage as I embark on winning a world title.”
An announcement regarding Tszyu’s next bout will be made in the coming weeks.
