Video: Katsidis wins in return, George lays out Craddock

MICHAEL Katsidis ended two years in the world boxing wilderness with a third-round stoppage of Eddy Comaro in front of a packed house of adoring fans at Rumours International.

The bout was Katsidis’ first home-town fight in eight years as he embarks on a career comeback and his first re-united with trainer Brendon Smith who helped guide the 33-year-old to two interim WBO world titles.

Something had to give in one of their career charges last night and after two simmering rounds it was George who seized the moment 1:09 seconds into round three with a stunning attack on Craddock.

The visitor was on his way to the mat after copping several lightning blows when George delivered a crushing right hand that left a gallant Craddock in “Disneyland” as the referee waved an early end to the fight.
