VIDEO: Nigel Benn on Bika vs. Dirrell rematch
IN the latest of our sit-downs with former unified super middleweight champion Nigel Benn, the legendary Brit talks about tomorrow’s WBC super middleweight title fight between Australia’s Sakio Bika and Anthony Dirrell.
Dirrell, 29, floored Bika, 35, in their first fight and after twelve rounds left with a draw.
In spite of this, Benn doesn’t believe that Dirrell has the mindset or mentality of a champion, highlighting the way he left the ring after their first fight as major flaw in the American’s make-up as a fighter.
“I’ll never forget the way he (Dirrell) walked out of the ring the first time, like he won the fight,” explained Benn. “He didn’t really do much to win the fight.”
“If you’re going to win a world title, you go out there and rip it from the guy. You don’t leave it in the judges hands, you go and rip it from the champion – he didn’t do that.”
