Weigh-In Results: Kali Meehan 110.60 vs. Joseph Parker 107.00

FORMER heavyweight world title challenger Kali Meehan and undefeated prospect Joseph Parker weighed in earlier today ahead of their unified regional title clash at The Trust Arena in Auckland tomorrow night.

The vastly more experienced Meehan, 45, tipped the scales at 110.60 kilograms while the younger and heavily favoured Parker, 23, tipped the scales at a lighter 107.00 kilograms.

“Kali is in great shape,” said a respectful Parker shortly after weighing in.

“Kali hasn’t just come here to have a fight, he’s come here to win,”

“You can see it in the way that he speaks and the confidence that he has, you can see he’s put in the work.”

“I’m a bit jumpy because I’m excited. I’ve got all this energy, I just have to relax myself and save it all for tomorrow,”

“I really made sure that I trained hard for this fight,” added Meehan.

“I know it’s a massive fight – a hard fight – it’s a dangerous fight,”

“You can’t underestimate a young lion like Joseph Parker, I just tried to do my best to get in phenomenal shape.”

Fast rising welterweight starlet Jeff Horn will defend his quartet of welterweight regional titles against durable Argentine Alfredo Rodolfo Blanco on tomorrow’s card.
