Weigh-In Results: Will Tomlinson 61.10 vs. Adones Aguelo 60.20
DOMESTIC boxing in Australia will make its well overdue return to free-to-air television when Australia’s road warrior Will Tomlinson clashes with hard-nosed Filpino Adones Aguelo in Melbourne tomorrow night.
Tomlinson, 29, and Aguelo, 27, both hit the scales comfortably below the lightweight limit, with Tomlinson weighing in at 61.10 kilograms while Aguelo was marked in at 60.20 kilograms.
The interim PABA lightweight title will be on the line tomorrow night, but more importantly a springboard to bigger fights internationally as the winner will earn a WBA top fifteen world rating.
In the evening’s semi-main event, looming WBA heavyweight title challenger Lucas Browne will mark his first appearance of the year in a non-title bout with late replacement Julius Long.
