Team Soliman discusses controversial Wade decision

AS the dust settles here in Shelton, Washington State, the controversy hots up.

Sam Soliman’s management team are considering appealing the decision that saw him lose on a split decision to Dominic Wade here in Shelton Washington State.

“In the modern fight game punching statistics count and they do not lie,” said Soliman’s manager David Stanley.

“Sam Soliman landed 64 power punches compared to Wade who landed 35. Soliman landed 23 body punches to Wade’s nine.”

“Soliman was the busier of the two boxers throwing 450 punches to Wades 317 controlling the action” Stanley added. “So what does a boxer have to do to win on the judges score card?”

The tapes from this fight will be studied and used in our appeal to to the IBF so that Sam is not further damaged by this controversial decision.

Kurt Emhoff, Soliman’s US management partner said, “Without question this is the worst decision I have seen with any fighter I have been involved with,”

“I am really proud of Sam,” Emhoff added. “His performance was stellar and I am absolutely gutted that the judges would take this away from him.”

Stanley added, “Sam represented his country with grace and honour, taking the fight right up to the younger man and out working him in every department.”

Soliman added, “I am not going to let this controversial decision hinder doing what I love doing, boxing. My quest to regain the world title is a strong as its ever been, Ill be back.”
